Holding A Boiler Contract Gets Many Problems Sorted
I recently had a major problem with the pipework connected to the hot tank in the airing cupboard. I didn’t realise I had a problem until I opened the cupboard to hang up damp laundry to dry. Immediately I noticed a big damp patch around the bottom of piping, and a very damp wihiff. I raced downstairs to turn the boiler off so as not to have water having to travel in or out of said pipe upstairs. I discovered the pressure gauge was almost at dangerous level – mild panic beginning to wave over me, I just needed to ring my contractor out of hours service. Within moments, they rang me back to check my situation. They advised me that turning off the boiler was a good idea and they’d be with me within 12 hours, in fact he arrived in 6 hours and discovered a fracture in the pipe which caused the pressure to rise. It was all sorted within an hour. It is so pleasing to to know that the regular monthly payment is very much worth it !
