I’ve recently had a kitchen installation contractor round to survey work needed he installs the new units I’ve not quite finished choosing. He was pacing this way and that, which had nothing to do with surveyancing needs, he just thinks better on the move apparently. However, he did have to slow up when it came to checking the plumbing points for the dishwasher and new double sink. It was heartening to note how much care he took to ensure the existing pipework was going to be adequate and able to take the new appliances. There are some folk out there who definitely do not do that amount of checking – as is evident from my neighbour’s mismatched kitchen. It turns out that the waste pipe from the old dishwasher was not adequate and well after this should have been rectified, new plumbing had to be installed and then the appliance had to be installed in a different place altogether. So prance away my prince of plumbing I say!
